Jasmine, owned by Roy and Mary Anne Manning
I recently watched a documentary on Netflix called "Happy", an interesting and thought provoking film. A number of years ago I read the best selling book The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. Both of these resources agreed that one of the main sources of happiness is the intrinsic characteristic of personal growth. For me, my artwork is a constant journey of growth and learning, both from successes and from failures (yes, I still do paintings that I think are awful and throw in the trash). I think Jasmine is an adventure of personal growth for my friends Roy and Mary Anne Manning. After 30 years of dog free marriage, they brought home a little flat faced bundle of joy that was named Jasmine. Despite her diminutive 14 pounds, she is larger than life. Full of spunk and sass, she is the pride and joy of the Manning household. In fact, they were probably pretty happy with a dog free, hair free, dirty paw print free household, but now cannot imagine life without her. She is a whirlwind of fresh air and a dash of spice of crooked legs. It's never too late to learn or experience something new!
