My memory of the lavender fields near Aix en Provence is the subject for the second mini painting.   In 2014 I was fortunate to be able to meet my daughter in Paris after she finished her study abroad.  We spent a total of 10 days there, 5 in Paris and 5 in the south of France.   We happened to be in Provence at the peak of the lavender season.   We spent an afternoon touring the countryside amazed at the fields of purple stretching to the horizon with giant fields of sunflowers as well.  I did a larger version of this subject as a Christmas gift for Abs, and decided to revisit this subject for one on the mini paintings.
